ABeals Art Drawings

I drew sketches growing up, but the first time I actually tried drawing something realistic was in Summer 2012: this golden retreiver below. I was almost 15 years old, and It was clear to my family that God had given me a natural gift. And this drawing was done with just a mechanical pencil and eraser! My family started investing in my art by providing the right tools for the job.
Little did any of us know what I'd be doing 10 years later! It's been amazing to see how far I've come since 2012, as a mainly self-taught artist. I tried taking art lessons at South Shore Conservatory, where I took piano & violin lessons as well. I remember the teachers never took the time to teach me, but focused on tutoring the rest of the class... because I was a natural and completed assignments effortlessly.
So art lessons didn't last long--they were expensive, and it was obvious that I could draw and paint without lessons. Funny though, I never dreamed of being an artist, I always wanted to be a concert pianist. Until a senior in college, 2019, when my dream quickly changed to owning my own art & music café.

I had to pick which kind of starving artist I desired to be! So...here I am art-ing. And not piano-ing.
How the tables have turned.

Also...can we just appreciate how far my signature has come since 2012 LOL.
