HIGHLIGHTS

Homecoming & U-Day

October, 2016-18. Bob Jones University Marketing Association, a Collegiate Chapter of the American Marketing Association, co-hosted BJU's third "U-Day" in addition to #BJUHomecoming.
University-Day was an event for the university to invite the whole community to campus for an educational street fair with dozens of interactive booths from BJU's academic programs, Center for Global Opportunities, and other departments. Local representatives were invited also, such as the Greenville County Fire Department and K9 unit. All ages were welcome, as children could enjoy bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, prize drawings, and more. The event featured live music and food from local vendors & musicians. The day's events opened with the Bruin Nation 5K that was open to all students and alumni, and proceeds were donated to Make-A-Wish Foundation. T
hroughout the day, there were campus tours, open house events, art exhibits, scavenger hunts, an autonomous robot demonstration, and affinity reunions for specific departments and organizations. Homecoming & U-Day are continued traditions today!

One year we organized a rubber duck race in the fountain in front of campus, and another year we organized a "bear drop," a nod to our mascot Brody. The events were sponsored by different people & companies of the community to raise funds for places like Make-A-Wish and Let There Be Mom.

Marketing Strategy - Regional AMA Competition

IMG_20181109_151116164_HDR_edited.jpg

November 9, 2018, I led a three-person team in the American Marketing Association Marketing Strategy Competition. Our team had the honor of beating our University Marketing Association's president and executives!

We had an hour to create a campaign and then give a full presentation to a judges panel of AMA leaders, marketing solor powered lamps towards the Gen Z audience for use when camping. We took the liberty of adding charging ports as an additional feature into these lamps, marketing the campaign slogan:
Explore Nature, Stay Connected.

#DigitalExplorers #SunPowered

Knowing the Gen Z audience and their habits & preferences from other projects & classes helped me lead this team to success!

WSJ "READ AMBITIOUSLY" Campaign

Attracting the Gen-Z Audience to read the Wall Street Journal

At Tech Etch, my work included growing internal and external communications, creating social media content, building ads for sales/marketing/HR comapaigns, managing the media calendar, launching an internal monthly newsletter, directing photography & video shoots, co-hosting company events, designing storyboards, infographic posters, mocking up cafe remodeling & then overseeing remodel process, and more!

Some of my favorite design projects were creating tradeshow backdrops & booth designs, a tenure award design for photoetched metal plates, parade float banners, newsletter templates, company swag, van & truck wrap designs, step & repeat backdrops, and designing & painting a 12-foot wide company mural.

One of my most noteable projects was the design, product photography, and printing of an accordion brochure design for an international sales partnership with Heilind Electronics. During my tenure, one could regularly find me on the floor in manufacturing interviewing employees for social media initiatives and videos, photographing or videoing for events and presentations, and getting to know the employees.

My largest project was a contract through my side business, ABeals Art, through which I designed & painted the Tech Etch Mural, a 12x7-foot painting of the company's industry and location in Plymouth, MA. Apart from photos below, it is also up on Tech Etch's website on the "Who We Are" webpage, techetch.com/who-we-are/.

All of the following Tech Etch content is a sample of my design work, publicly marketed, and is not owned by me. Visit the techetch.com homepage to view some of my product photography, as I cannot publish it here..

Fall 2018. Marketing Strategy & Research project along with six classmates. We developed the branding for this initiative, design & formatting, and worked with the University Photography Department to capture fresh photos and to create new graphics.

The goal of this project was to apply marketing principles to strategic management of the Wall Street Journal's marketing program, with an emphasis on critical thinking, business development, and creating a marketing plan to attract the Gen Z audience to read the WSJ "Ambitiously".
